Parochial VicarFr. Amalogam Brittoraj, is a member of the Divine Mercy Province in the order of Heralds of Good News. Fr. Britto was born on May 25, 1986, last among the six members in his family. at Mazhavankarunai in the state of Tamil Nādu, India. He completed elementary schooling in his hometown and high school at St. Don Bosco School in Vellore. Knowing the call of God, he joined the order of Heralds of Good News in 2003, completed Philosophy and Theology in the state of Andhra Pradesh in India and was ordained as a Deacon in 2013. Fr. Britto was ordained as a Priest by the Most Rev. Sounder Rajan, Bishop of Vellore on May 10, 2014. He started his Priestly ministry at the Shrine of St. Devasahayam as an Assistant Parish Priest, two years of Administrator cum Preacher in Good News Retreat Center and four years as a Parish Priest (Pastor) at Our Lady of Purification Church in the Diocese of Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. After completing a year of Pastoral ministry and preaching ministry in different places and with God’s providence he joins us in the Diocese of Portland, Maine. He states “God has chosen me for the purpose and I’m the instrument in the hands of God for nine years as a Priest. God called me to encourage the discouraged and to share His love to the least.
